What environmental factors can affect industrial connectors

In our traditional industry, in most cases, industrial connector-related products are used, but due to the special environment faced, the particularity of these environments also brings some challenges to the performance of industrial connectors. So what are the environmental factors affecting industrial connectors?
Generally speaking, the environmental factors affecting industrial connectors are mainly manifested in four aspects: vibration, electromagnetic interference, extreme temperature, and corrosive materials. The details are as follows:
The first point: vibration
When placed in an extreme vibration environment, the standard connector will react. After a period of time, the connection between the plug and the socket will gradually wear out, and the pins will sink at the connection point, reducing reliability. Moreover, after such abrasion, if exposed to a steam environment, it will further cause corrosion.
The second point: electromagnetic interference
Severe electromagnetic interference sources usually include nearby production equipment and power channels. Machines and electrical pathways generate electric fields, which can couple into the digital pathways to cause noise and destroy the integrity of digital signals.
The third point: extreme temperature
Today's connectors can generally tolerate a temperature difference of -10-60 degrees, which is no problem for most office and general industrial environments. However, if it is placed in an extremely harsh temperature environment, the temperature exceeding the range will cause input errors and reliability problems.
Fourth point: corrosive materials
Corrosive gases and liquids are often encountered in industrial environments. Such as oil, gas and chemicals can corrode the outer connector cover, the metal feet of the plug and socket, and the cable jacket.
